Mansueto Library

A spaceship has landed next to the Reg! Eye-level with the saucer! The Special Collections department has moved to the Mansueto hallway. Metal seals representing local publishing houses. Metal seals representing local publishing houses. Metal seals representing local publishing houses. Metal seals representing local publishing houses. Lots of natural light! Where I would have been as a student.

Gallery Notes

I visited my alma mater after almost 7 years. Upon arriving on campus, I had a strange urge to see the library where I spent most of my finals and many a night with friends with the intention of studying but more often just hanging out. (Yeah, I know the U of C is that kind of place.) Well I was pleasantly surprised to see that there is a new wing of the main Regenstein library called the Joe and Rika Mansueto LIbrary. The wing’s spaceship-like design is absolutely stunning especially on a beautiful day like the day I visited. If we were fortunate to have such a space when I was a student I’m sure I would have gotten a lot less done :)
